Acronis Disk Director Server Success Story — Centennial School District
OverviewCentennial School District, located in suburban Philadelphia,
comprises 17 square miles and is home to 10 schools; 6
elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 alternative school, and 1
high school. The district currently educates 6400 children in
grades K — 12.
ChallengesCentennial School District had a number of mission critical servers
that were running out of hard disk space within the server
partitions. To ensure that the school district continued to
maximize server usage, the IT department began a search for
products that could quickly and easily repartition the hard drives of
the production servers. A number of products were evaluated in a
pilot program. The district selected Acronis Disk Director Server
because the product was easy to administer.
Complete Success with Acronis Disk Director ServerAfter the pilot program was completed, the district purchased 5
licenses of Acronis Disk Director Server 10.0. The product was
installed on the 5 servers that were running out of hard disk
space. One IT administrator reconfigured each of the 5 servers to
increase the partition size in a couple of minutes. As a result of
using the product, the servers are no longer at risk of crashing
due to hard disk space issues. Moreover, the server
reconfiguration was completed quickly, saving IT staff many hours
of rebuilding the servers from scratch. |
Acronis Disk Director Server saved our department
many man hours of labor. We were able to
reconfigure our servers to maximize performance in a
couple of minutes as opposed to rebuilding the server
from scratch. The implementation of the product was
a complete success.
