Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange Management Console is a tool for managing data backup/restore on the local network from a single location. Using it you can install agents remotely, schedule tasks, recover data remotely, set backup/restore options on remote database servers, and import a pre-existing maintenance plan.

Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange Agent is an application, enabling local and remote management from Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange Management Console of data backup/restore on a networked computer, on which it is installed.

Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange Management Console is installed on the computer from which you plan to manage operation processes on remote database servers. It may also be installed on a database server to manage tasks locally (with Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange Agent installed).

After issuing a backup or restore command from the Management Console, Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange sends a request to the Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange Agent to retrieve the required instance or database from Microsoft Exchange and sends it to Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange, which backs up the selected data.
